Dr Shan Raju

Paediatrician and Sleep Specialist at Coast Sleep

Shan is an Australian trained General Paediatrician and Paediatric sleep specialist. She completed her medical degree and internship at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in Dublin. Subsequently, she completed general paediatric training at Children’s Hospital Westmead in Sydney and trained as a sleep physician at Sydney Children’s Hospital with both hospitals now part of Sydney Children’s Hospital network.

She has worked on the Central Coast since 2012 as a General Paediatrician. She has worked as a paediatrician at Royal Far West paediatric service in Manly and as a locum paediatrician in Maitland Hospital. She helped provide remote telehealth service to Darwin Private Hospital as a sleep specialist between 2014 and 2015, and also established a children’s sleep service for a private sleep laboratory in Canberra in 2016, where she ran monthly outreach clinics for a year. She is passionate about helping babies and children with sleep disorders as well as managing developmental and behavioural issues in children using a wholistic family focused approach.
